Hyco Alabama Company History

Hyco Alabama began in 1974 as the cylinder manufacturing  division of the Heil company. The first cylinders were custom designed for Heil's range of Garbage and Dump Trucks.  Since then, we have grown to become a major force in the design and manufacture of high quality, competitively priced hydraulic cylinders for use throughout the mobile equipment industry.

In 1998, the Alabama facility was acquired by Centre Partners of New York and became part of their Hyco International group of companies.   As part of the global Hyco International network, we are closely linked with Hyco's other cylinder manufacturing facilities located on three continents. This enables us to provide seamless global supply solutions for all of our customers around the world. This means that a customer with Hyco Alabama cylindersin Europe, Asia or South America, can receive the same service and supply as a customer around the block.
